Book Review: Twisted by Steve Cavanagh
Title: Twisted
Author: Steve Cavanagh
Publisher: Orion
Release Date: 24th January 2018
Synopsis: BEFORE YOU READ THIS BOOK
Review: So one Steve Cavanagh book down I immediately jumped into Twisted as soon as it was physically possible! I've said this before, but it remains true. I do not often see twists coming and I love that! Because then I am shooketh and I love that feeling. It makes you feel alive and it creates an enjoyable reading experience. Steve likes to build things up and then smack then down, playing with your mind! Go Steve! Though a standalone Steve manages to slip the odd Eddie nod in and it was a nice touch to bring all the elements together.
This, like Thirteen before it was another gasper. I talked at this book sooo much people must find me weirder than they already do. It's one of those book that you kind of have to read, which is an annoying review to read/write but you don't want to say to much so that you get the full experience. The writing is SLICK. The pace is FACT...the book WORTH EVERY PENNY
Twisted follows Paul Cooper and his Wife Maria, who have recently moved to Port Lonely. How apt, because Paul is bathed in secrets and as a result has distanced himself from his wife who finds herself alone in more ways that one in this new town. That's never a good combination and secrets are not known to lie low for long.
Mixed into this is the mysterious JT LeBeau, best-selling author, but person unknown. Who is he and why is he important...well all I will say is it causes DRAMA! I. ATE. IT. UP!
A break in at the Coopers house unearths a long dead police case and you find out...or you think you do, or you pretend you know what's going on and how everything fits together. it really is TWISTED. Steve keeps you going like a fish on a hook until the very end! You know when you turn to a last page and you think cool and then BAM and you want to throw the book because you think you'd outsmarted the author but he got you...he got you good! Bravo...
I am EXCITED for 50/50 out in September!!!
